One of our MarLitCy team members gave online presentations to schools over these last couple of days. Information on marine litter such as its sources, impacts, and solutions, was presented to the students of American Academy Larnaca on the 19th of April 2021 and to the Pascal English School Nicosia on the 20th of April 2021. We are glad to still be able to convey information to students through the means available to us, despite the COVID-19 restrictions. A big thank you to both schools for hosting us and to the students for their attention and participation! We hope to do more presentations soon and hopefully visit these schools in person!
On Saturday 17th of April 2021 the MarLitCy partners held workshops for fishermen as part of the fishing for litter initiative. The team gave a presentation to the fishermen and provided them with free gifts and lunch. Overall it was a very successful day and we'd like to thank everyone for participating and making these workshops a successful event!
The fishing for litter workshops are planned for Saturday the 17th of April 2021 and will be done separately with a bicommunal element!
