One of the first activities of the MarLitCy project was to record the island-wide perceptions of key stakeholders regarding marine litter. This involved three distinct stages:
1. Identifying and mapping the main stakeholders
2. Developing and piloting a short and to the point questionnaire
3. Undertaking the survey.
The survey was undertaken in two parts. At first, responses from over 150 stakeholders were received (both through an online questionnaire and through face-to-face interviews). Then, a second survey round was implemented, targeting fishermen and divers, since responses from these two key project target groups were missing.
The survey results can be seen in the two attached reports.
