Yesterday, AKTI Project and Research Centre, organised an educational activity with the 3rd graders from Agioi Anargyroi Elementary School in Larnaca. 45 children and their teachers cleaned up the picnic area by Larnaca Salt Lake, implementing a recognised cleanup protocol, and learned about marine litter - its sources, impacts and solutions - from AKTI staff and volunteers. Several such events are being organised within the framework of the MarLitCy project, in order to educate Cypriot children about the important issue of marine litter.
