MarLitCy Animation Videos

Between the 13th and the 22nd of April, 5 pilot school teams from the Famagusta region worked with MASDER to learn about marine litter and become inspired so as to develop short animation videos on the subject. On Day 1, students participated in a presentation on marine litter held at MASDER Building followed by a beach cleanup between Bedi's Beach Bar and Venus Beach Hotel. Each group collected litter to be used for the creation of images for transformation into animation videos. Four sessions were then held at the EMU later, with Day 2 about idea generation and scenario development whereas Days 3, 4 and 5 involved the actual animation video development.

Special thanks goes out to EMU Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design staff for guiding the students through the whole process.

The videos 'premiered' at the MarLitCy launch event that took place on Saturday, 25 May 2019,  at MASDER, Famagusta.

The curiosity and creativity of our teenagers boost our hope for a better future.
